I started doing these comics as something of a drawing exercise, really to keep me drawing on days when I otherwise wouldn’t. Posting them online seemed like a good idea, so I did, but honestly I never expected The Jay Stack to be like.. a thing, a thing that would take off and that people would like. I kind of vaguely hoped it would, and apparently a lot more people like reading these than I imagined would have. Drawing is fun, something I really truly enjoy, but it’s even more gratifying when I know that people are looking at (and maybe even enjoying!) my work. I really just want to extend a big, big thank you to everyone who keeps coming back to look at my material. There are many more of the lot of you than I feel like I deserve, and the only way I can really think of to return the favor is to try my best to keep getting better at drawing and putting up more of the stuff you guys come here for.
To people who’ve been reading since the beginning: Thanks for sticking with it. My old stuff was much rougher around the edges, but look, something good eventually came of it! To people who’ve discovered it recently: Welcome! I hope you like what you see, and that you stick around to see what else comes along. To my readers in the distant future, who are discovering this comic decades after I discontinued it: What’s it like in the future? Did hovercars ever pan out as like, a thing that people use, or did cartoons lie to us for all these years?
Thanks again! You don’t know how much I appreciate the fact that you guys support what I’m doing, and I’ll try and keep giving back as best as I know how.
Regards (LUV U ALL),
Jon S
