Working on giving World Cradle some proper backgrounds. Looking back through the pages that have been made so far, there isn’t really a proper sense of place or atmosphere for the town; the buildings were hastily drawn and lacked personality. Since the story is about the characters but also heavily focuses on the world itself I wanted to fix that
Also I think full color is gonna be the way to go for World Cradle after all
Tempted to just go ahead and do all of World Cradle in color
The art for the World Cradle preview is DONE. Just gotta do some edits here and there and it’ll be good to go
My 25 page World Cradle peview will be done in about 2 weeks! Hang tight. Here’s some more art from it. Also, since it’s been too long I’ll be doing a regular comic this week as well, probably Wednesday or Thursday!
Also I haven’t forgotten the synopsis I’ve just been mad busy :l
So I’ve been working on World Cradle for a while now. It is a graphic novel. A graphic novel that I’m writing. One thing I’ve sort of realized though, is that for all the times I’ve mentioned it on here, posted art, etc, I’ve never actually really gone into detail about what it’s about. Silly me! Well, I’ll be writing up a synopsis over the weekend to put up, and I’m planning a ~*25 PAGE PREVIEW*~ for the end of September. I’m still on track to have this thing done by January(oooor February, depending on workload), so it’s time to actually start spilling some details on it.
Regular comic updates will continue too, don’t worry! I know they’ve been less frequent lately, but that’s partially because A). I’m super busy like all the time and it’s awful and B). I’d rather just make comics when I have a solid idea instead of feeling like I need to adhere to a schedule, since I’m doing this for free and for fun.
Take care, thanks for reading! In the meantime I just finished this page and it doesn’t make as much sense out of context but I like it anyway.
Lookin’ at statues
More composition/lighting practice, trying to get better at visualizing objects in 3D space. I’ll get there someday!
Some World Cradle art. Almost halfway done with the rough draft for the first story, some 85-odd pages later. I can’t wait to show off some more of that to you guys!
Inside front cover illustration for my book
Coloring is fun
NO COMIC TODAY SORRY GUYS but check out this cover I did for the preview guide for World Cradle
Character drawin’
Rave Orseti, one of the key characters in my story. A pirate girl, and Krynn’s partner in crime
Another illustration. Practicing lighting (and drawing lazy backgrounds)
Yay 50 followers~
Doing some more concept stuff for my graphic novel (which is finally in production, there are even pages done and stuff!), which means more illustration!
The crew finds a strange man in a riverside village who claims to have built a flying machine. Curious and more than a little skeptical, they check it out.
Yay for backgrounds
Another illustration based on part of the story to World Cradle, my graphic novel in progress. Aron and Astrid come across a giant mutated fish that may or may not be causing a river’s speed to increase and banks to overflow greatly.
This one I actually had a lot of fun with
